The Professional Review Committee’s decision that a student has violated the Professional Conduct Policy and the sanction(s) imposed by the Professional Review Committee, or sanction(s) imposed by a conduct administrator or designee where the student admitted to the allegations in the complaint, may be appealed by the student to the program administrator or designee within five (5) business days of the notification of the decision being sent to the student. Appeals must be submitted in writing and must state a basis for the appeal. Basis for appeal are:

• There is new evidence that was unavailable at the time of the original investigation that would affect the outcome of the original decision.
• There were procedural irregularities in the process that affected the outcome.
• The sanctions were not reasonably appropriate for the violation of the Professional Conduct Policy.

The Program Administrator’s or designee’s decision on the appeal is final and not subject to additional appeal.

Interim Suspension

In certain circumstances, the University may impose an interim suspension on a student prior to the hearing or administrative review.

1. Interim suspension may be imposed:
   1. To ensure the safety and well-being of members of the Chamberlain University community or preservation of Chamberlain University’s property; or
   2. If the University deems that the student poses a threat of disruption of or interference with the normal operation of the University
2. During the interim suspension, the respondent may be denied access to Chamberlain University premises (including online and on-site classes) and/or all other Chamberlain University activities or privileges for which the student might otherwise be eligible, as the University may determine to be appropriate.
